CONFERENCES
Nothing is more fun for us than planning a stimulating multi-day conference. We search for interesting venues, help our clients build strong programs, create memorable social events and make it all run smoothly. We are happiest when our clients are praised and the delegates return home smarter, more connected and excited about the good time they’ve had. These are a few of the conferences we’ve planned lately:
Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA)
Prince Rupert, British Columbia
DKE directed, trained and collaborated with a client team from the Prince Rupert Port Authority to produce an outstanding event for ACPA members and their guests in this small coastal community. In addition to the conference, this event included a First Nations ceremonial welcome, a Titanic-themed gala dinner, a boat trip and festive evening at an historic cannery village and an art auction.
Association of University Real Estate Officials (AUREO)
DKE provided conference planning services for this US-based organization, working with local hosts, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in 2007, the Université du Québec in Montreal in 2009, and the University of California in San Francisco in 2010. In addition to planning campus tours, restaurant DineArounds, golf tournaments and gala dinners, DKE identified speakers and developed strategies for promoting each conference in Canada and internationally.
Water in the City Conference
Victoria, British Columbia
DKE helped to coordinate this four-day, 300 delegate event, at which nearly 100 speakers addressed issues related to municipal water quality, quantity and conservation. Ancillary activities included two trade shows and a poster session, a satellite workshop, field trips and tours, a Victoria restaurant DineAround, and a themed wine and chocolate reception at the Royal British Columbia Museum.
