Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (TransLink): Working with Eclipse Environmental Consulting, DKE is providing strategic advice and handling the event logistics for a six-month public involvement process on the Vancouver/UBC Transit Plan.  The goal of the public involvement process is to collect comments and ideas for the development of a five year plan to improve bus services in Vancouver and the University of British Columbia area.  Over a dozen public workshops and open houses will be held.  An on-line and print Comments Workbook was also developed. Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD): As the leader of a multi-talented consortium, DKE was awarded, in 2005, a Standing Offer Agreement for Public Consultation and Community Relations Services.  Our proposal was one of four selected from sixteen bids.  Other members of the consortium are Iris Communications and Dovetail Consulting.   DKE has also worked for the Media Relations and Corporate Communications Division of GVRD. Aldergrove Community Visioning:  Devon Knight, working with Praxis Pacific, served as a facilitator in the day-long Aldergrove Community Visioning workshops in March 2004.  Aldergrove, a Fraser Valley community, part of Langley Township, faces challenges associated with potentially rapid suburban growth and threats to its traditional agricultural way of life.  Participants discussed strategies for preserving and revitalizing Aldergrove's downtown commercial district and for providing housing for the community's present and future residents.  

BC Drinking Water Protection Plan:  DKE, working with Praxis Pacific, managed venue logistics and registration for a series of public consultation meetings sponsored by the  BC Ministry of Environment, Land and Parks.  Meetings were held at 10 locations around the province; between 50-250 people attended each session (2001). 

Fisheries Policy Workshops:  DKE, working with Dovetail Consulting, planned and managed a series of 16 public consultation meetings, held throughout BC, related to the Wild Salmon Policy proposed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) (2000).

Trans Canada Trail Public Consultations:  DKE, with Judith Cullington Associates and Dovetail Consulting, conducted a series of public consultation workshops at locations across the province, soliciting public input on issues related to implementation of the BC portion of the Trans Canada Trail (1999).
